Description
The Knox Handroid MK5 is a sports touring leather glove with a mechanical exoskeleton spine, TPU knuckle shield and Scaphoid Protection System.
Based on Knox’s original award-winning Handroid, the MK5 marks the fifth iteration of the popular glove. The long-cuff Handroid gloves represent the pinnacle of Knox’s Hand Armour collection, from the choice of technical materials, and protective technologies to the inclusion of Micro-Lock impact protection.
The gloves are constructed from drum-dyed cowhide and sustainably sourced, super-strong kangaroo hide at the palm for combined durability, abrasion resistance and grip. The gloves are incorporated with a striking exo skeleton design, engineered to provide full-length finger protection while being flexible and not inhibiting finger movement. The finger spines link to the comfortable gel-lined metacarpal protector covering the back of the hand for optimal aerodynamic performance and impact protection.
The palms of the gloves are covered by Knox’s patented SPS system, which introduces 2 strategically placed sliders designed to allow the glove to slide instead of grip, significantly reducing scaphoid and hand injuries. Knox MicroLock technology is used in the knuckle and under the SPS for added impact absorption.
As a step away from previous models, the Handroid MK5 loses the twin wrist cuff and is replaced with a sleek single-sided LDPE wrist cuff with added Micro-Lock for improved strength, abrasion and impact resistance. This low-profile new wrist system also improves dexterity and flexibility on the controls as well as being more comfortable.
The patented Boa wrist closure system has also been improved; constructed from aircraft-grade stainless steel, the micro-adjustable Boa dial can now tighten and loosen, allowing you to fine-tune the glove for an effortless, precision fit.
